Most people shop for a gun safe by comparing lock types and fire ratings. Those matter, but they are not how safes actually get opened. A thief with a pry bar does not pick the lock or drill the plate. He works the gap between the door and the body, and on a lot of safes selling today that gap is the weak point.

Conventional locking systems slide bolts behind the door frame. Lever the body away from the door and those bolts have nothing left to grip. Our patented SafeX® Security System works the other way around. Wide flanged anchor studs are built into the door frame itself and pass into the door when it closes. Turning the handle drives a thick steel locking plate behind the rim of those studs, interlocking the door and body together and leaving almost nothing for a bar to catch.
SafeX® is standard on every gun safe we sell, including the imported Kodiak and Longhorn series. It is not an upgrade and it is not reserved for the premium line.

Every Rhino gun safe ships with a UL-listed lock, a heat-activated intumescent door seal that expands up to eight times its thickness to block heat and smoke, full-coverage fire lining in the door frame, an anti-tamper clutched handle, and pre-drilled anchor points for bolting to the floor. Many models include our Rhino Vector™ adjustable interior, internal outlets with USB ports, and LED lighting.
Limited lifetime warranty. It covers defects in workmanship and materials, and, unlike most warranties in this category, damage from an attempted or actual break-in, or from a fire. If someone attacks your safe, we repair or replace it.
